Since the UK left the EU, the CE product mark has still been accepted and companies have thus been able to use either the UKCA or the CE mark.

In 2022, it was announced that the deadline for when companies need to use the UKCA mark was extended to the 31st of December 2024. Now, a new decision has been made, which means an extension for an indefinite period. Companies can therefore continue to use the CE marking on the UK market indefinitely.

This is what The Guardian writes on their website about the use of the CE marking:

“The UK will retain the EU’s product safety mark indefinitely, in the latest climbdown from proposed post-Brexit changes, after the government bowed to pressure from industry and manufacturers.”.
